While the end of the year typically means winding down, preparing budgets for 2018, and celebrating the holiday season; TMG has been preparing for a busy spring meeting season. With dozens of meetings and events planned for early 2018, our team is wasting no time in getting prepared.
A hot topic in the office is membership retention, a growing trend in new membership models and overall member engagement. Gregg Talley sparked the idea to really think outside of the box on new membership models and how TMG’s client-partners can look to the future of their membership. Technology continues to play an ever-increasing role in our daily lives. With that, it changes our wants and needs as individuals, including how we interact with our professional societies. We have seen this impact membership models significantly over the last few years and we continue to be adaptable, desirable and impactful in how we present our membership benefits and engagement with members.
Recently, we joined American Headache Society in congratulating Cheryl Gallagher on her promotion to Director of Meetings and Operations. Cheryl has been leading AHS Meetings team for the past 5 years.
We continue to add upgrades to our building, including a new security system which includes secure access. As a company, we take the safety of our team seriously. Our new system requires all doors to remain locked throughout the day and entrance to only staff that have security access fobs. All visitors are buzzed in via a closed-circuit security camera system.
Also in safety and security, the TMG Meetings and Events division, led by Heather Seasholtz, CMP, rolled out a new emergency plan. This plan provides guidelines and information for our team as they plan and work on-site at client-partner events. This plan includes information on handling emergencies including weather related events or an active-shooter. In today’s world, we realize we must be prepared to face many situations that require fast thinking and plan to ensure the safety of our staff, attendees and other stakeholders. Having this plan in place will help us prepare for all future meetings in a more efficient and equipped way.
Lastly, we are excited to announce that our Associate Director of Association Management Services, Joe Sapp got engaged to his now Fiancé Nicole - Congratulations Joe!
