Our Process
After 35 years of crafting strategic plans, we’ve developed a tried and true method to prepare nonprofit associations for growth. Over several months and three stages, our strategic planning process is designed to take a holistic look at your organization to better understand your team, your mission, and your goals to push your association to the next step.
Pre-planning
We’ll kick off the nonprofit strategic plan with a survey of your operations through interviews with key stakeholders and focus groups, then compile benchmarking data. At the end of the prep work, we’ll have a clear idea of where your association currently stands so we can dive into the planning.
Strategic plan creation
Next, we join your team in person to take you from a 30,000 foot view of your organization and its goals, down to the nitty gritty details of tactics, initiatives, and responsibilities to ensure your strategic plan gets executed. Within four weeks of the in-person session, you’ll be ready to hit the ground running with a clear, actionable plan.
Implementation & evaluation
To ensure your organization is making progress on your plan, we’ll schedule several check-ins. We’ll help you take a critical look at your advancement and gather any relevant data so you have measurable numbers to compare with your benchmarks. We’re here every step of the way to help you make the most of your nonprofit strategic plan.
